According to Ausome training, 1 in 44 people are autistic!

 I have read the links, thanks for sharing. In the first one it says HSP’s experience:

‘deeper cognitive processing of physical, social, and emotional stimuli,’

….which by its very nature would lead to a different communication style.

I have read the HSP article from The  Guardian and a lot of the descriptions are autistic experiences:

For example:

‘She feels emotions through her whole body, which can leave her nauseous, and she worries that she lacks resilience’

Intense emotions and potential hyper empathy which overwhelm our nervous system both positively and negatively.

‘Overstimulation is a sensitive’s bête noire.’

Heightened sensory experiences.

According to that article it affects 15-30% of the population. It that were the case then there might be a lot more of us than previously thought!

It's not that simple though as many HSP would not also meet the criteria for the social communication and highly focused interests aspects of autism.

Exactly! Also, I just remembered that frequently in the sitcom she is referred to as quirky but I think that is also how she feels in real life too.

I have read that the term HSP is just another description of being autistic but it accepted more often than identifying as autistic because it is not stigmatised.

She also has spoken about struggling with making and keeping friendships and also suffers from Ehlers-Danlos which is more prevalent in autistic people.  

Yes I have heard about Miranda Hart experiencing depression, agoraphobia and extreme fatigue. Maybe she could be an unidentified autistic? I have also read that she had a very strong connection to her dog Peggy and was distraught when she died recently. Her sitcom is based on her life and the majority of the time it doesn’t seem like she is acting.

This is very interesting as is the correlation between Ehlers Danlos syndrome and being autistic!
