British comedy

Anyone else a fan? I like anything from studio sitcoms to panel shows.

My current favourites are 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg, Would I Lie to You, Taskmaster and Not Going Out.

  • Another person I’ve been reading into is Miranda Hart, she suffers from crippling anxiety when put into different situations or situations that quickly change. She also has spoken about struggling with making and keeping friendships and also suffers from Ehlers-Danlos which is more prevalent in autistic people.

I think you might be right and I have thought that before too. Autistic people can sometimes become the 'class clown' and that is how Miranda has described herself.

She has also spoken about having agoraphobia, being unable to go out and having to continue fighting anxiety for the rest of her life.

It's interesting that her name pops up in this article, identifying as a HSP. The issues discussed in that article (being highly sensitive to noise, touch, light, smells etc) are very familiar to many of us autists.

According to her website she is currently researching for a new book on "recovery from stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma and chronic illnesses". I'll be interested to read that when it comes out.
