How easy is it to break one of your bones? I heard twisting your wrist round can break it is that true?

It’s not easy to break bones unless you have Brittle bone disease, it’s very rare. I broke an arm about three inches above the wrist. It was a full break, fortunately I have quite a high pain threshold and don’t really feel physical pain. I didn’t go to the GP for a few days, I only went because the hand wouldn’t work. The doctor was a bit annoyed that I had left it so long, to be honest he was very annoyed.
My mother broke her wrist, in several places, when she slipped in the kitchen and fell on her wrist. The human body is very heavy and that caused enough force for the wrist to fracture.
She had a plaster cast for six weeks. Unable to move her fingers, her wrist was weak for months. In the end it took two years before her use of the wrist and fingers returned back to normal. Mentally she never recovered and was extra extra careful about falling and became afraid of going outside in case she slipped in the garden.
The moral is avoid breaking bones.
Is it Scary Movie 4 that has that skit with ‘Tom Cruise’ and ‘Oprah’..? I think a similar thing happens to ‘Oprah’, courtesy of ‘Tom Cruise’..
From experience, I fell down 5 stairs last year and landed on my feet at the bottom, breaking both ankles at the same time. I’ve also broken my wrists in the past with very little force and this week I broke my big toe on the same stairs I broke my ankles on.
stairs are not my friend at all.
It depends on a lot of factors- age, sex, build, etc- as well as the circumstances of the injury. I once broke my toe accidentally stubbing it on someone else's discarded steel-toe boot, but toes are quite small and prone to getting bashed.
A wrist might break if someone's arm was twisted quite forcefully, especially if they were someone small or frail, but anything you could do on your own without causing any other pain or injury probably wouldn't do it.
Unless you have a condition that weakens them, it usually takes a lot of force. Like if you picture someone having their arm bent behind their back, that can break it if they do it too hard.
My only broken bones were when me and another kid both tried to kick the same football. We kicked hard enough to break a few bones in my foot.
