Coping with bad weather

Hello, everyone.

I have difficulty coping with certain specific forms of weather. In cases of good weather, I don't mind. But when my local weather forecast mentions things like heavy rain, thunderstorms, gale force winds or heavy snowfall, especially overnight, I struggle to sleep at night with all that roaring and rumbling going on outside.

I particularly hate it when bolts of lightning flash in the sky. Because of this, I would blindfold myself to avoid seeing the lightning. The actual thunder rumbles aren't such a problem because I would wear ear plugs to reduce the noise. Even so, I struggle to cope with sudden, loud, uncontrolled noises of any description.

Has anyone had any difficulties with coping with bad weather?

  • Oh no, how can you hate rain ? ... when the rain falls I feel comforted, maybe I feel like everyone is indoors.... its a good time to go running as the park is empty, so rain is my friend ! I have been in the park for an hour or so all by myself, its great, no screaming kids or kids on bikes to dodge, no drunks with their cans, no groups of teens smoking drugs and no dogs. I don't mind getting wet.
