Who are your favourites?
I like so many but some of my favourites are
Queen, Adele, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Paul Young, Morrissey, Texas, Roxette, Phil Collins and Duran Duran.
My favourite song of the moment is Grace Kelly by Mika. It puts me in a fantastic mood!
favorite singers miley cyrus and taylor swift also ryanna
I like boybands, particularly JLS, One Direction, Westlife and Take That. I'm also a fan of Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi when it comes to solo artists.
I like Ed Sheeran's music. His songs are so good - Thinking Out Loud, No Strings, Bad Habits, Perfect are my favourite ones :o)
I've also become a huge fan of The Smiths music thanks to my friend Steven ^^
You are so lucky!
I am officially jealous of you now.
The funny thing is that I remember at the time wishing I'd been able to see him in the 70s.
Now I'm just very grateful I'd got to see him at all.
Yes, I agree, totally unique.
I wasn't alive then but I would have loved to have seen Bowie at a live concert!
There won't ever be another one like him. His voice and image was so unique.
I went to this and remember it well:

Did anyone else here go?
(Bowie at Milton Keynes Bowl 1983)
Correct! Two of the best bands in the world.
He was, originally, Bass Player for the Stone Roses. Then, in 1997, he joined Primal Scream.
I used to go to Northern Soul nights when there was a resurgence in the late noughties. I remember going to Mani's Beat Club (of Primal Scream fame) in town and also Beat Boutique. HAPPY DAYS.
I like all things from the 80s, especially George Michael
I remember my girlfriend in the early 80s used to have posters of Wham on her walls as well as Duran Duran and would worship the bands - even telling me she would drop me in a heartbeat if they asked her.
I guess they were better looking than me LoL...
I was lucky that my parents grew up in the 80s and played 80s music as I grew up so I'm mostly in to that sort of music. Some are my favourites are...
Bowie.
Erasure.
Queen.
The Who.
A-Ha.
Culture Club.
Duran Duran.
Phil Collins.
Eighth Wonder.
Pet Shop Boys.
Madonna.
And many many many more.
My ex was a big Elton John fan. I like all things from the 80s, especially George Michael.
The Eagles as well.
Hotel California has got to be one of the best songs ever written and sung
I loved the debut song Golden Road and the video on youtube showing the band's light display in 1967.
Listening to the triple-lp reissue of the Suede B-Side compilation. The great stuff I missed out on, as a teenage boy.
Yes I have! Great stuff and also one of my favourite series of the moment.
I can remember the first time a saw them on Top of the Pops, This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us had just been released in 74. I asked my dad why Hitler was playing the piano!
Sparks are so tongue-in-cheek. Like an anecdote for the Moody Bands, of the Noughties.
The list is endless although it tends to only reach into the last century.
However, if I was told I'd be on a desert island and could only take one set of music it would be all of David Bowie's.
Great thread.
Thank you.
