Sharing this on here because I know there are other birdwatchers around, just had a great spotted woodpecker on my bird feeders in my back garden! Had my binoculars next to me so got a good look
Half of the field next to my workshop has been disused for about 5 years due to HS2 works. It was ploughed this week and returned to arable use. It attracted at least 20 Red Kites, they have bred really well in the last few years and are amazing when they swoop.
I love those birds.
They are so spectacular in flight.
I'm always trying to photo them but whenever they are low enough, I don't have my camera with me.
I saw one in the road once getting road kill and was able to see it close up as I stopped my car.
Their wingspan is huge.
Envious ...
Love it! So glad they are more common now.
