I just finished some warm weetabix. I don't really like breakfast makes me feel fat for the rest of the morning but it's insisted I have it. What have you guys had?

I drink water when I wake up, and have a coffee in bed. Then I had my lovely porridge which has dried fruit and spices in. When the weather gets too hot for porridge I stop cooking it and have it as sort of muesli. I like my breakfast! But sometimes the oats have a better texture than others, it is annoying not to be able to get oats consistently at the texture I prefer.
I can be reasonably consistent with the oats I have, though it is tricky to add just enough milk and not too much. It is more the variation between each bag of oats, with some being just how I like them and some being just wrong all the way down, although some I think will be the latter do improve toward the bottom.
I do have an unusual preference for how I like my porridge though. I don't like the oats too coarse, and I microwave it with as little milk as possible so it is a solid wodge I can slice, then add cold milk! If the oats are too coarse then they don't stick together, they have no integrity and just fall apart so it can't be sliced and it makes me sad as that is not the texture I like best. I do also like sticky porridge but I think that can only be made on the hob and that is too much faff for me.
The too coarse oats also don't get soft enough when I have them as muesli though, so really I wish i could just buy oats of my preferred sort.
