The last thing I bought was Firestarter by Stephen King. I'm an avid reader and have been reading and collecting King's books for about five years, and so far none have disappointed so I'm looking forward to reading it. I bought it on eBay for £5 so very reasonable for a second hand copy.
Another thing I purchased recently was a Kiss LP (The Elder), which should hopefully be delivered sometime this week if Royal Mail don't lose it - they keep losing my orders!!!
I bought myself a Star Wars Dark Side Rey Funko Pop from eBay the other day. I'm hoping it will arrive before the end of next week.
Sounds nice. I haven't bought any new clothes for myself for way too long.
Ordered myself some new clothes. After months of looking for something that ticked all the right boxes, I finally managed to find some tops and loungewear pants (trousers) that I liked. Yay!
Just earlier today: a five-string jazz bass.
I was doing a little over 70 just minding my own business, and there was no drama just an instant loss of power. I got the clutch in quick as you do and managed to leave the motorway.
I expected it to be rinsed beyond repair too, but apparently an undisclosed number of spare valves from a scrapper was enough to get it going...
And yes, Walter is our secret weapon when faced with mechanical disaster and he does it wherever the car is... (Assuming he isn't incarcerated for, well, "being himself in a built up area".) .
He got it going again ?If the belt snaps the valves and pistons smash into each other and destroy the engine beyond repair.Walter sounds like a Magician I sperg.Fast lane to ? You would actually hear an explosion from the engine.
Pack of chewing gum.
You need the number of Walter the mobile mechanic...
I borrowed an Astra onwhich the timing belt snapped (in the fast lane, too) and he had it going again for 150 quid including new belt (other parts were "used" OFC)...
Seriously, the last thing i bought was a new timing-belt for the car.£35 for a rubber belt and £400 in labour to lift the engine out to replace it.If it snaps it is bye bye engine....and hello new car.
Did they find " bones " in Fred and Rose West's Chimney ?An old flame maybe ?...
Yum I haven't had Jaffa cakes for ages.
Hopefully!
Was it heading my way?
Ben
You know, I saw a jaffa cake lorry recently...
Imagine...
A large packet of jaffa cakes.
Munching Ben
That sounds complicated, because I don't know much about freezers.
As I am now getting a new one, perhaps I'll learn more.
Aren't freezers meant to be frosty?
Our frost free freezer stopped working a while back but eventually it turned out that "frost free" actually takes the frost and compresses it into rock hard ice inside areas you cannot get to, but when the thing was allowed to defrost (O.K. helped along by me using hot air etc because I'm impatient) and the copious flooding that produced dealt with, our "frost free" fridge came back to life!
Number said: If it is a chest freezer, the cold air can't fall out = better
It's a chest freezer, but Google says 48 hours for food, so probably all lost...
Yep. Freezers are pretty boring, even for a Wednesday evening!
Side note - I bored myself with that post !! Off to do something else !!
