Do aspie's have money/budget problems

Hi,

I have never been able the save money for very long and have been told that having aspergers doesn't help.  Is this true /false  the bank is always in overdrawn on an overdraft limit to £350. And being umeployed doesn't help, and what makes it worse is that buying on ebay is so easy to use that I buy all sorts of things even if I don't have the money in the bank..

  • Funnily enough, although I have terrible mathematical deficits, my rigidity and attention to detail has prevented me being overdrawn or in debt.  However, I have executive function deficits and panic over letters I receive regarding finances, I really need someone to deal with them for me, as I have made important mistakes because it was all so confusing.  I have in the past, bought things on credit coming up to Christmas, without taking into account that the interest rates (again, maths problems) would keep the balance rising and my income was insufficient to keep on top of it, meaning a lengthy period paying it back which was a drain.  So yes, we can and do have problems in this area.
