New member seeking advice

Hello

I am in the process of completing self referral forms for asd assessment (in Wales if that makes any difference).

How much information/detail should I give for each question? The boxes are quite small... I am not really sure at all what to write apart from simple, short answers.

Thanks for any help.

  • If I sat down in one go to complete that I might struggle.  However, I have started a word document on my laptop,  I added the main areas that would suggest possible autism (Social communication and interactions, etc.) and I just keep adding to it as things come into my head at random times.

I think either way is fine, going in with loads of stuff or just one word answers that can be expanded on when you are asked.  I guess the main thing to do is to be able to articulate the areas that cause you trouble and why (easier said then done often).

For context, I'm not diagnosed and have a few counselling sessions soon where I'm going to 'present my case' for why I should be referred for a formal assessment, whatever the outcome of that may be.
