What happened to Plastic?

Indeed Peter.  Mr Volkens first ever post in this place is notable by the failure to pick up on that ....hence my expression of interest to our Mr Volkens about his soul.......I was wondering whether [pronoun of choice] is able and willing to converse with me for a while on the subject, or Plastic, or any other subject of choice.

Perhaps Mr Volkens has an autism thing.....or is this an autonomic type response from somewhere else....or perhaps Mr Volkens simply landed here without rhyme or reason...and doesn't really know why existence, is?!

You might have noticed Peter, I often reach out to try and understand the world that I inhabit...it is constantly evolving and I will continue to try and keep my understandings current, without "throwing shade" as the young humans once said.  Knowledge is power Peter, power to keep me informed and safe in this increasingly dubious and crazy-ass digital coms world...so I can make informed decisions about how I choose to behave and interact hereon, given the new circumstances I detect and because NAS have informed us that change is afoot and inevitable in this place, in any event.

I'm just trying to learn.

Hello James Volkens.  I am Number.  Plastic was a GREAT soul in this place.  I am keen to help preserve a good human soul to this place, if I can.  Can you tell us a little bit about your soul please.....why have you sought out this place?.....what is it that you want to say?......are you here to sow something?.....have you got some purpose in life?

I remember Plastic too, I Sperg! He was indeed a unique contributor to the forum. While he may not have been the most talkative, he always had a principled approach and occasionally shared some incredibly clever insights. It's strange that he hasn't responded to your PMs for a while, but I wouldn't take it personally – he didn't strike me as the easily upset type.
Also, if you want more info, check out Polyethylene terephthalate chips. These are used in PET bottle production. They're a fascinating part of the plastic industry.
Let's hope that Plastic makes a return to the forum soon. It would be great to have his unique perspective back in the discussions!

Plastic was before my time, but I've read many of the posts he contributed to. It's a shame he died, as the impression I have of him is that he was a truly fascinating character that I'm sure I would have got along well with.

I’m afraid Plastic died of cancer his wife posted here to let us know. I can’t remember how long ago now, maybe a year
