Ice cream in winter?

My husband keeps pestering me to eat the ice cream I bought at the end of summer. I love ice cream in summer when it is too hot as it helps me cool down. But I do not want it in winter as it makes me feel cold. I don't think it is weird at all to prefer warm things in winter and not want cold things, and vice versa in summer, but he keeps saying I am the weird one for not wanting ice cream in winter. I have tried to do a poll, no idea if it has worked!

What about you, am I alone in this?

  • We eat ice cream all year round. Love it :)

  • Do you find it makes you feel cold/cools you down? If so do you just not mind that even though it is cold outside, or is it warm enough in your home?

  • In winter I eat ice cream while sitting in front of the fan heater!
A bit better than when I had about 5 years of being obsessed with eating finally crushed ice. We’d go out for long walks (summer and winter) and I’d have to take a thermos flask full of crushed ice to have while on my walk. My husband thought it not THAT strange in the summer - but down right bizarre in the winter! I just loved the texture and refreshing ‘hit’ of crushed ice - whatever the temperature.

i only got out of the habit because I was seriously ill and had to spend a long time in hospital. I decided to not go back to it when I recovered and was ‘freed’ from hospital - as it’s not good for my teeth to be having all that ice - even though I crushed it quite small before having it.

  • I crushed it so it was very small - so not too bad. I loved it so much. Cheap too - I never bought any drink’s out because I always had a flask of that with me.
