Ice cream in winter?

My husband keeps pestering me to eat the ice cream I bought at the end of summer. I love ice cream in summer when it is too hot as it helps me cool down. But I do not want it in winter as it makes me feel cold. I don't think it is weird at all to prefer warm things in winter and not want cold things, and vice versa in summer, but he keeps saying I am the weird one for not wanting ice cream in winter. I have tried to do a poll, no idea if it has worked!

What about you, am I alone in this?

  • Ice cream is a summer thing for me. During the winter it makes me cold and isn't as fun and nice. Ice cream is so nice during the summer time. Cooling and a taste bud delight.

    Yay, I'm not alone in this! Thank you! Nothing better than ice cream, or sorbet, in a heat wave. One time on a car journey on a very hot day we stopped for lunch and the only thing I could face to eat was ice cream, so I had that instead of a proper meal, and then for dessert, more ice cream!

    And then there was that time in Romania when it was sooo hot and walking round Constanza there was an ice cream shop on almost every street corner and so cheap, we literally bought more as soon as we had finished the last one.

    My favourite is ice cream at the coast when on holiday during the summer. It tastes of sheer protection at the sea, or is that just me? I can't eat much ice cream now but the tastes especially on a hot day is etched forever in my head.

    The fish and chips are too die for. Cotton candy as well. Everything tastes amazing at the seaside.

    Seaside foods! Ice cream is a good one, though for me the seaside association is not as strong as hot fresh doughnuts or fish and chips.
