Comfort item

Do you have a comfort item?

I know they come in like bears, blankets, jewellery and curious if you have something that brings you comfort.

I have a necklace that was my mums and a bracelet, also a blanket, but that makes me feel like a child.

Got a lot on today - 2 buses to my hospital appointment - and then I've got to find where I need to go and in my opinion hospital are so hard to navigate!

I have to admit I'm taking my blanket lol. Hopefully it'll make me feel easier.

Look forward to seeing if you have a comfort item :)

  • I have a paisley-patterned 'aviator' scarf that was my dad's, it probably dates from the 1950s. It is incredibly soft. I was given it just before I went to university. I remember, as a very small child, that I would lie on my stomach with it covering me and pretend I was a snake. I think that the pattern reminded me of snake scales. Now it reminds me of my dad, though he died decades ago.
