Members

I was thinking today about past members I knew and spoke to here. I do this a lot, wonder how they are and what they're up to now. Wonder if they even remember me.

The members I've remembered and thinking of are,

Kiki, Aidie, Mrs Snooks, Tassimo, Remora, ConsciousBadger, DaveAsperg, A=bcd, Adele M and Kitsune. And Plastic who sadly passed away. I hope the others are all alive and well.

Some have been gone longer than others but I remember they were all lovely people and they brought a lot of wisdom, fun and happiness to the forum. Kiki created the 3 good things post. I was telling the nurses about then earlier on and it brought back a lot of happy memories.

If any of them lurk and check in I hope you guys see you're still remembered :)

I hope you're all doing great.

  • That's interesting I've never heard of it before. I have dyslexia but no problems with numbers.

  • I am the same with things like reading out credit card numbers, it normally takes several attempts. It’s seems as if the numbers are moving because they are close together. I often write card numbers  down with large spaces in between, dyscalculia is a neurodiverse issue as is obviously autism, you don’t have to have all the different parts of dyscalculia to have it.  I’m dyslexic, I can read but can’t see how a word is formed to spell it. I just literally memorise everyday words and over the years have got better and obviously spell check was a god send. I’ve just read something that also calls dyscalculia, number dyslexia.

  • I've heard of that, thanks. But that also includes difficulties with calculations, I can do that though I don't enjoy it. What I really hate is having to enter long numbers, as I have to really concentrate and even then have been known to make an error. Like when having to put the long number on a bank card in to pay online. But it's worst on a phone - I literally have nightmares about that.
