TV Comedy

Does anyone else really enjoy watching sitcoms on TV? I don't really like drama programmes as they tend to be quite depressing and the real world can be depressing enough.
Comedies help me escape from the world and I can watch my favourite ones over and over again

Just wondered what everyone else's favourite comedies are?

At the moment I love watching

New Girl

The Office (US version)

How I Met Your Mother

Gavin and Stacey

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps

I also really identify with some comedy characters and find they really comfort me, particulary Jess from New Girl and Erin from The Office

So many good examples being given here! We have Friends and Only Fools on constantly in our house so I'm used to overhearing those! Personally, I can recommend Community or a new highlight, The Good Place. But I'm honestly also a big Fry and Laurie fan - that tends to catch people by surprise given my age!

Blackadder! How on earth did I forget? My class got to watch it and read some of the transcripts for a war literature assessment. Getting to read some of that dialogue aloud was such a treat - I still can't decide which character I enjoyed reading for the most!

Me and my husband (then boyfriend) were in the studio audience when that episode set in the First World War was filmed.
