Books

Does anyone else like books and reading?

What are you currently reading or just finished?

I love books and reading. I love escaping into fictional places for a time Slight smile

I recently finished reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. One of my all time fave books. And now I've started The Ice Monster by David Walliams.

  • The still somewhat current, though becoming outdated, view, is that autistics do not like fiction. I think that this may apply to some, but certainly not all people on the spectrum. I think fiction is really very useful for autistics. Because fiction often deals with social situations and describes the inner thoughts and emotions of characters, it allows the autistic person to explore these things without the potential difficulties of real-life interactions. I think my fiction reading has helped me enormously to understand other people and how society works.
