What are you currently reading or just finished?

I love books and reading. I love escaping into fictional places for a time Slight smile

I recently finished reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. One of my all time fave books. And now I've started The Ice Monster by David Walliams.

  • Yes, I love reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I recently read 'The British Museum is Falling Down' by, David Lodge, which is comical and each chapter is a pastiche of the style of other authors. I'm now reading 'At Swim-two-birds', by Flann O'Brien, it does not have a standard plot structure and I'm not sure as yet, whether I like it. However, I'm a big James Joyce fan, so strange plots are not new to me. In non-fiction I am currently reading a biography of Philip of Macedon, the father of Alexander the Great.

    They sound interesting books to read. I usually read the same sort of books, I try to be a little more adventurous but can never seem to change the type of books. I will Google the ones you have said and who knows maybe I might try one... Slight smile

    How are you finding the biography? My older sister reads a lot of biographies.
