Is anyone else really horrified by this study (Spectrum 10K)?

I'm horrified that people want to eradicate Autism. Does the world really hate us that much? 

Why are so many Autistic charities looking for a 'cure'?!

Even Chris Packham has been brainwashed into supporting it.

  • No, I am not horrified by the study. It seems like a logical step towards a better understanding of autism. It is not going to find a cure or any simple way of screening for autistic foetuses. Autism is already known to be very complex and multi-factorial. The genetic components of autism are too widely scattered in the genome and too widely scattered within the general population to be amenable to eradication. Added to which, a proportion of them are undoubtedly beneficial to society.
