Hi everyone,
My name is Bonnie. My son is 15, he will be 16 in October. He is very intelligent, polite and intellectual but due to his narrow and vastly different interests he has no friends at all. He is interested in dubbing, editing videos, languages and computer programming. He is also very good at creative writing. He is desperate to have a friend and it is so sad to see him lonely. Since he has been a small child, he has always got on really well with adults rather than children as he has never been able to fit in and follow the trend other children have followed at the time. If anyone shares the same interests, I would love to hear from you. Or if anyone knows of a social group that would provide a platform for friendship at this age I would appreciate if you could let me know. Thank you so much.
YouTube. Everything he does is in strong demand on YouTube. People who make YouTube videos need editors sometimes dubbing and writing too. There is a community between creators on YouTube with lots of Collaboration. Even the programing has relevance in certain circles on YouTube. There are lots of specialist programing Chanel’s.
get him making videos on YouTube he can make friends with other youtubers
as soon as he is 16 he can have an account here and try chatting with fellow autistics ---- once he gets experience here he could then also join the numerous Discord.com servers full of autistic teenagers like him.
You could try attending your local NAS branch together

Online stuff is tricky at that age - he could get groomed.
