Hi everyone,
Hope you had a nice weekend. Just wanted to ask around and hear everyone's favourite hobbies and pastime. Don't be afraid to share something unusual; I'm sure other people enjoy it as well.
Thanks!
Jack.

I got to re-engage on one old hobby recently, whilst on holiday - collecting seashells. Some are exquisite in their firm (my mother used to dcolkect them too).
On the last day I was on a rocky piece of beach, and first I got a piece of broken abalone, then snother, and another. Finally I got an entire shell. Good way to end the holiday really.
yeah its nice to talk to people :), i tried 3d animation its not my cup of tea its really hard for me to understand the program thats really good to hear you create animations on blender :) and make games what games have you made. i do stop motion like wallace and gromit ive made a few short films but haven't made any for months i really do need to get back into it. i once wanted to be a coder but found that confusing. thats interesting what medieval stuff are you into
The Hobbit is always a good go-to :) Have you read it before or a first go at it? I've just finished The Lies of Locke Lamora which I highly recommend if you enjoy strong friendships and quite a morally dark backdrop. Have just started The Blade Itself after being recommended it by a few different people. Have only started but it seems good. Lots of good character work even if they are not the nicest people...
I've sadly not seen Hadestown live but if it returns to London I'll definitely be getting tickets!
I don't know many blues artists but a big rock fan; big Beatles fan too and adore the stones, especially their sticky fingers and exile albums :)
Hey LFG, thanks for sharing. Animation is very interesting and I look up to those who can do it! Do you do both 2D/3D or prefer one? I'm a noob but I know how to create animations in Blender and a couple of game engines
Well, to summarise: I love games, both development and playing them. Really anything to do with combing programming, art and design pique my interest. I like history (early medieval is my favourite) and combing that with writing and games.
I really just want to hang out and hear from people across the country. It's fun to exchange opinions and learn what other people are interested in. It's also a great way to distract from boring old life I'm glad you could make it, please share your thoughts!
Thank you for sharing! Personally, I enjoy any entertainment media pretty much For films, I like watching good and bad ones (intentionally). Recently went to see Andrey Rublev at the cinema which was awesome. I like more casual films as well of course.
What are you reading right now? I'm reading The Hobbit Enjoy lots of different kinds of books.
Hadestown looks interesting. I didn't know what it was before I looked it up. I bet it's amazing to see live! For my music I like lots. My core favourites are within rock and blues. Big Beatles fan.
i went to see ww2 reenactors once everything was ok until i was feet from a N_azis ss trooper and the blood went to my feet ---- it was scary to see
he had a barrier around him to stop him from being attacked ! the rest of the reenactors where US marines and best tommys and nurse auxiliaries etc
Lovely idea for a discussion :) I'm a huge film and music lover; right now I'm hooked on the Hadestown albums (there's three versions so I enjoy comparing them) I'm also a big reader- mix of classics and fantasy.
Try to maintain a daily yoga and meditation practice though this falls away sometimes if my mood is really low and I need to save my energy. When I do keep it up, I find it makes everything fall into place so nicely :)
