Maybe someone on here might be able to help me understand this.

The vaccine was developed for the original strain of covid19, but with the new varients, they are like wild cards. I've heard of hospital patients having one varient of covid19, then being reinfected by another varient of covid19. As the virus spreads it mutates.  

They are just hoping that the vaccine is still effective against these new variants, and that the varients doesn't mutate beyond the effectiveness of the vaccine, because if that happens then we'd be back to square one when the pandemic started, but instead of dealing with just one strain, it's a bunch of different strains. I'd imagine that it'll be a nightmare.

I mean even if you get the vaccine and can fight off the coronavirus, you can still spread the virus to someone in your neighborhood who has not gotten the vaccine and has no immunity to the virus.

But the main thing people rely on in society is not science or evidence, it's trust. If people do not trust evidence, they will just ignore it. It's because trust is intrinsic to our survival. I'd imagine in the prehistoric days, you want to trust that others will not poison your food or water, or anything like that. But nowadays, with the formal speaking style of politicians and governments that are rehersed, it looks robotic and untrustworthy. So people who do not trust you, will not trust anything you have to say, they will not trust anything you offer to them, be it medicine, science, food, or whatever it is, it will be treated like poison, something sinister, something evil.  

I've learned that you can't just treat human emotional fear with just pure evidence and scientific facts, because fear is illogical, and people can have panic attacks about a lot of irrational things. But evidence and scientific facts is all we've really been receiving, which does not calm down the fear.

If you've taken a true vaccine and it works, yes, you do "fight off the virus", your viral load goes to zero and you don't transmit the virus.to others nor suffer the effects yourself.

IF you've been injected with this novel idea, you don't "fight" the virus at all, you live with it whilst gaily passing it on to others. If those others are vaccinated, they do the same.

If unvaccinated and not possessed with a fully functioning immune system you get the full COVID experience, which might kill or hospitalise you or like the few people I personally know who have been tested postive for covid-19 they reported it feels like you have got a strange variant of the flu, that eventually passes but now you have  NATURAL IMMUNITY, which is considered by many to be a superior form.

And I, for one, haven't lost my trust because of "formal ways of speaking", I've lost my trust because they lie about anything as a matter of course, nowadays and are increasingly rolling out the mechanism to silence any dissenting opinon!!

For me social isolation is now becoming a permanant way of life, together with the increased hygeine and physical health changes required to give me the best chance of either avoiding or defeating this evil creation that was funded by teh very people who are now flip flopping about what works and what does not, who can travel (the elites) and who cannot, (you and me), who can have a job and who cannot. Whether masks work or not.  (They told us the truth at first, they do not, and that's why you need a "lockdown to flatten the curve in two weeks" , then when that didn't work either, suddenly masks were effective again...) 

Personally, I'm less afraid of the virus than I am of being subjected enthusiastically by my society to follw teh dictates orginating from a man who murders puppies by havng sandflies eat their heads, and who is daily being roasted by one brave senator who keeps calling out his lies and malfeasance. It's like being led by Josef Mengele! (The truth about "Dr" Fauchi is out there and beiing collated for all to see who want to know a bit about who is leading this, rather than extending blind trust in authority. The thing about the dogs is utterly sickening)

"Trust but verify" works way better for me than "trust authority blindly and ignore the growning body of conflicting evidence" which seems to be the mainsteam approach to these things.
