  • in fact I went to work with severely autistic young folks when I was just 17, and then studied it a bit at college for my education degree.

Always I knew for sure that I was not 'neuro-typical' somehow, and it has more and more become obvious to me that the explanation for my very challenging life is that I have been 'on the spectrum' with my creative, insightful, capable, empathic, focused, dedicated (etc) but very isolated and lonely make-up all that time.

So far, just dipping into this site, it does feel like folks are kind of talking in my language more or less.
