Welcome!
I've discovered that whether you fit in or not will depend on whether you agree with certain member's viewpoints or not. If you don’t, you haven't got much chance. Also, not being formally diagnosed will go against you. No diagnosis equals no valid opinion according to a few here. There are actually some really lovely, accepting, intelligent people on here, unfortunately they tend to be the quieter ones. If you can find like minded souls, you'll be good.
You'll find everything will just fall into place as you find out more and more.
Very well I should think. A lot of us are either diagnosed as adults, awaiting an assessment or not bothering with all that and self-diagnosing, lol. And quite a few of us are 50+.

Love your user name by the way - I believe in earthly angels :-)
in fact I went to work with severely autistic young folks when I was just 17, and then studied it a bit at college for my education degree.
Always I knew for sure that I was not 'neuro-typical' somehow, and it has more and more become obvious to me that the explanation for my very challenging life is that I have been 'on the spectrum' with my creative, insightful, capable, empathic, focused, dedicated (etc) but very isolated and lonely make-up all that time.
So far, just dipping into this site, it does feel like folks are kind of talking in my language more or less.
