Worried about cuts effecting Autistic people?

Please sign epetitions.direct.gov.uk/.../43154 or www.WOWpetition.com to call for an impact assessment and review of service & welfare cuts effecting people with autism, mental health and learning difficulties, sickness and disabilities.

We are also on twitter @WOWpetition and we regularly discuss matters to do with Autism and Asbergers and associated behaviours.

  • We should also add that the petition has over 20,000 signatures and is the biggest petition dealing comprehensively with Welfare Reform at the moment. There is also a #KeepDLA epetition which we support - but does not deal with the range of subjects we do.

We hope that once we reach 100,000 signatures - we can look at a further crowdsourced petition dealing with issues affecting quality of care, better education about Learning Difficulties and Autism, holistic approaches to Social Care, better integration of Departments of Health, Education and Work&Pensions, among many other things.

People with autism and experience of autism will be the first people we consult and encourage to get involved. At the moment though - the situation with Government's present plans, makes it very difficult to offer suggestion abut positive reforms and radical improvements.

The National Autistic Society leads the way in Autistic research and advice - we hope that their way of doing things can be further implemented by Government.
