Handwriting

My son hates writing ans his handwriting is so bad. I don’t know how to help him.

He is 7 this year.

could it be linked to sensory?

  • I detest the practice of teaching the ball and stick writing (sometimes referred to as printing) then teaching cursive at a later age.

It's well known that many kids struggle to transition to cursive. This is because of the way that the neurons in their brain have wired to co-ordinate their hand to write using the ball and stick style. The neurons have to be rewired in order to write cursive.

I also detest using stabilisers on bikes.
