Handwriting

My son hates writing ans his handwriting is so bad. I don’t know how to help him. 

He is 7 this year. 

could it be linked to sensory?

  • Hi there. Does your son have an EHCP?

    My son wasn't picked up till he was 11 and when he was at high school, he had a scribe for exams/tests and was taught to use a keyboard rather than write. The school also gave him a lot of help with teaching him how to write and he had some 1 to 1 support at school too.

    We never went down the OT route, but that was something the school talked about too and that would be via GP. We tried all sorts of pens and hand grips which can be useful too.
