What do you like to buy and collect?

You all collect so many nice things  Something else I collect is vintage jewellery I own a lot of Victorian stuff which I absolutely love! 

This probably sounds very sad but I'm a big fan or Victorian and Edwardian fashions - The formality of design and the defined lines and curves.    They appeal to the engineer in me with all of the precision and symmetry.  

Yes, I can sort of imagine myself discussing the finer points of something like architecture or masonry with the likes of say Thomas Hardy. Indeed, a rather treasured photo of mine shows my grandfather selling a traction engine. But actually most of the time his rather mediocre foundry business turfed out very robust cast iron streetware; a lot of which still looks almost new

My uncle has a traction engine - I've driven it down Walmersley Road in Bury holding up all the traffic.     He has a Sentinel lorry too and a bunch of other engines & classic cars.
