Hi all. My son finds it very difficult to sleep at night and asks for his phone every single bedtime. Is this a bad idea? I very rarely give in but I am at a loss as to what to do. I'm also wondering if music may be a good idea? Advice appreciated

I've been insomniac since I was that old and found music or white noise helpful, I find it's easier when I'm not in complete silence. I also used to have a CD player in my room with audiobooks on and found those night lights that create a spinning pattern on the ceiling helpful. I'd just suggest asking him why it helps him sleep and try to find something else that can help him :]
Generally, phones will keep you up because of the blue light. I know when I was that old I wouldn't have the self control to not use it for other things, but I do use my phone to listen to music or a film or something so I'm not in silence.
