new shoes

Hi got a three year old who does not like having new shoes, I have bought a new pair of shoes which is same as his old ones just a bit bigger. But still what put them on.

Has any one got any tips.

  • hi - my adult son's like that with shoes.  Partly, just like the rest of us, he prefers them comfy, so they need to be worn in.  He doesn't object at all to new shoes but will choose his old ones if they're around.  I've pointed out in the past that if the weather's wet, snowy etc then he needs good soles so his feet don't get cold + wet.  How wd your son be if you removed his old shoes + just left the new pair out?
