new shoes

I dont no, but if he  is not wearing them he will carry them, like at bedtime he puts them next to his bed. At bath time he will put them on the side of the bath. So where he goes his shoes goes too, wearing them or not

hi - my adult son's like that with shoes.  Partly, just like the rest of us, he prefers them comfy, so they need to be worn in.  He doesn't object at all to new shoes but will choose his old ones if they're around.  I've pointed out in the past that if the weather's wet, snowy etc then he needs good soles so his feet don't get cold + wet.  How wd your son be if you removed his old shoes + just left the new pair out?
