Isolation

It's now Wednesday morning.

The last time I went outside was on Saturday evening.

I've also avoided listening to any news for over four days because it's so depressing.

I haven't spoken to anyone since Saturday.

I have plenty of food stocked up in the flat.

The question is how long can I stay isolated from the outside world and how unhealthy is it.

  • You're immune system needs exercise, ideasly a daily one hour walk. It also needs some contact with other humans and a bit of lightheartedness to generate oxytocin. And for Covid sunlight, or Vit D. So I would advocate getting out to stay healthy. It's pretty difficult to catch Covid out of doors, even passing close to people, it's about avoiding standing near someone and having their breath close to yours for an extended period. Not reading the papers is good as stress suppresses the immune system. You need to stay healthy to combat all the other health problems that can come our way.
