CHICKEN POX

I had Chicken Pox,, really bad when I was young, my two brothers also had the disease at the same time but laughed and skipped about eating Ice Cream, whilst I went into fever, a mass of spots and near death.

Anyone else with Autism experience Chicken Pox really badly ?

There is another reason why I write this post, my son also caught chicken pox and since then as been diagnosed also with Autism.

If I look at photos of him, he is a different person post chicken pox, you can see it in the photos of him quite evident.

  • I had a really mild case of chickenpox when I was 6 years old. I even went to school with it before we knew I had it!. It started on my hand, where most of the spots were, and then it covered the whole of one arm, and a few spots on my back. I had no fever or any other symptoms, apart from a slight burning sensation on the hand, which caused acute discomfort that only lasted a day. A couple of weeks later, my younger brother came down with it. His pox was really bad, covering his whole body, and at first  my parents thought he had measles!. He is not on the spectrum.
