Difficulty reading private messages due to layout of the website (on tablet and laptop)

This website is infuriating sometimes. I'm trying to access my private messages and reply to them.

If I use a mobile device, the text entry box covers up a good chunk of the most recent messages so I can't read what I'm replying to.

I've now tried it on the laptop and the text entry box covers up the scroll bar on the right hand side. So I can't scroll up and down between the previous messages to see what I'm replying to.

Am I the only one having difficulty? I don't contribute that much on here but when I do, I seem to have one difficilty after another. It's enough to put me off using it altogether.

  •  - you should be able to continue to use an existing account, whether that was created before or after the site relaunch last summer. On first use after the relaunch, you need to go through the account creation process in order to get a password on the new system, but using the same email address as before. This community should then recognise your existing account.

Your message suggests that you are using a second device - the laptop as well as a phone or tablet, perhaps? You should be able simply to sign in on any second or further device. You can only have one sign-in (and so, one identity and one forum name) for your email address. To create a second identity, as has happened in your case, you would need to register again with a different email address. Obviously this is not good for anyone, and we aim to avoid it.

There's more information about sign-ins in this previous thread, and it may be useful to make any further posts about this particular issue there, since that allows others who may have similar issues to as much information as possible in one place. If you'd like us to look into your particular case, please email details of both your accounts to community.manager@nas.org.uk
