Ta. Frustrated hearts are hard to deal with, but i'll be ok soon enough.
Go easy on yourself.
Bit rubbish:(
I slept on and off, and was kinda awake 5:30, so tired and moved my alarm from 7 to 8. So I had a lie in, instead of a run. Never a good thing. So I faffed at home and got to work late and felt morose. Fourth day of dwelling on Mr GG who's gone awol:(. I've also not got a christmas plan which i'm scared of, and over done it of late so things have got a bit on top of me. I was also excited to do a Winter Mountaineering course in Feb, but covid restrictions mean i've realised i can't afford the accommodation as dorms in hostels are closed. I'm really gutted about that. It was a big part of reclaiming life without Mr GG.
Thanks god the weekend is here soon!
Positives: I've cooked, even though i had no energy; I've got a zoom course later about Winter Mountain skills; I can sleep in tmrw if i am coming down with a cold as i suspect; i bought myself a chocolate beer which is the perfect day to have one (only fourth drink since nov lockdown); i've got some nice things Sat to do.
Day off, for me. But still drove to the Chemist and back. My neighbour's wife was heading to pick up her eldest daughter from school at the head of our lane, whenever I was about to turn in. But, thank God, we didn't touch.
Now, I'm dealing with tempermental WiFi in cold weather.
The weather is awful outside so I'm staying in and doing some cleaning. So far I've cleaned the fridge. Next on the list is washing the floors in both kitchen and bathroom, then it's the vacuum cleaner and doing all the carpets.
I regularly watch the program, 'nightmare tenants and slum landlords', and I don't want to end up like those people.
Well done on the weight loss. I'm trying to lose 5-6kg, mostly by upping exercise as dieting is hard .... !
I went for my walk with a friend. On the way back, I bought water for my windscreens. Then I did laundry.
This evening, I was weighed at Slimming World and lost a pound and a half. I'm on the right path again.
Now, I'm dealing with slow internet - due to the homework, Champions League and I'm a Celebrity Followed by other users - while buying another Six by Seven album on Bandcamp.
yea i had a gratitude one, a few months ago
Doing this reminds me of a practice I have when I'm in a bad patch. When I go to bed I write out:
- what I achieved in the day, am proud of, or consider a win
- what I learnt
- what I'm grateful for
- what my goals for the next day are
Some days are more satisfying than others, even if they go ok.
Went for a good 65 min run with a mate, think it may become weekly, and we set some targets which is motivating! Had a slow start with work today, dwelt a bit on Mr GG after reading some posts here on shutdowns in relationships. Ran into someone who wanted to talk about autism after her husband spotted it in himself during lockdown. Did some work. Did yoga class. Now just finishing my outdoor instruction course zoom session. And got some cooking for tmrw to do.
I got up at 7am, big achievement as i try n stick to my routine without the gym or my running buddy. Did yoga by zoom with a friend. Went in to work all day. Then did a training session with the running clubs coach. Off for a bath and then maybe a read or go to sleep early.
I drove to Cookstown; to order a take-out at Superstars Café and buy milk. Poundland had no milk; so I bought two two-litre bottles of semi-skimmed at a butcher's.
On my road home, a Black Renault Van - complete with Rudolph-Red nose and antlers on each front corner - wouldn't pull over into the nook for me. I hadn't enough time to pull into my nook. Thank God there was no contact.
I'm also washing my used mayonnaise and honey jars. My aunt-in-law wants my empty jars. She makes homemade jam out of them.
I might go for a walk tomorrow with an old school friend.
this forum is tricky and i am using a really good powerful laptop !
