Lucky you.
Here, all bus services have been suspended city wide, until further notice.
A bit of snow and we have the British disease. Transport cannot cope, no buses, no refuse collections, no vaccinations.
The only good news is a mass snowball fight in a local park.
It's been a work day, then flop at home day.
Not exactly exhilarating life, but this week's goal was just to survive. I'm off the bed soon to read a book.
its not as bad as the media is whipping up
I can't believe how NI got shafted by Brexit.
Toilet paper was the commodity the FT most recommended stocking for Brexit as 85% of it comes from the EU and not at high enough a margin to pay premium haulage fees for. I hope you find some.
I slept in a lot recent and felt really crappy as a result. I had 09:30 mtgs tues-thurs that got me in, but tmrw i'll have to self motivate:(
No walks for two days now, all is not well with the world as far as he is concerned lol. His limp seems to be gone completely now and he's bouncing around full of energy so I guess we can get back to it, but tomorrow just to be safe.
Another day in hospital, I'm due to go home tomorrow.
Not felt as sick today so that's good. I've to get 9 bags of this infusion and I've had 7 so I'm counting down to completing the course (last bag should go up at midnight).
I was hoping I'd be really productive during my stay, I brought books and uni work and I've hardly looked at any of it. Mostly because I have felt so ill but maybe a little bit of overstimulation and a bit of disinclination on my part. I really should be a bit harder on myself.
My boss is based in this building so I'm going to go and see her. I'd like to find out what I'm scheduled to do on Monday if possible, she might be able to find out.
I'm getting quite a lot of sensory input today, the lady in the bed diagonal from me is having issues with her drip and it keeps sounding off alarms which is really stressing. There's also a lot of day patients who are using our bays toilet so heavy traffic going past my bed which I'm finding quite disturbing. One lady had a man with her and he hovered around the bed spaces while he waited which made me feel quite exposed. I was having chest pains so I'm on a cardiac monitor and the wires are making my clothes not sit properly so it wasn't nice. The nurse noticed him and kicked him out eventually, right before the doctor came in to check on my lead placement so good timing really.
I'm waiting to see my consultant, he's really nice and understanding. I miss my husband but he's been really busy at work. He has called every night for a short chat, I can't do much more than that.
hope everyone is well and enjoying the snow
I hope your dog is ok as well
I hope your dog is ok, our border terrier got pancreatitis at the start of December and it's such a worry when they're sick.
One of my dogs began limping yesterday for no apparent reason. That wouldn't usually be a big deal, but his breed (Rottweiler) are particularly susceptible to osteosarcoma, which usually remains undetected until symptoms present in the limbs, by which point it's too advanced to really do anything about.
I have found no lumps or bumps on him and he does seem fine today, it could well be nothing, but it is always a worry when this happens as I've lost dogs to osteosarcoma in the past. I'll be keeping a very close eye and there'll be no walks or play allowed for a day or two.
