Gosh, you compensated there for 3 weeks cooped up! 4 shops all in one go. Well done on getting out and mostly enjoying the day. Hope you enjoy the foods you bought too.
Today is the first time in over three weeks that I travelled by bus and left my immediate, local area to do my food shopping somewhere else.
I'm tired of buying the same stuff in the same shops day after day.
It was time to ignore government advice to stay at home and see the outside world.
Well. It was a miserable day with a light drizzle. Buses were not crowded, just normal shoppers.
Lidl was my first port of call. It, surprisingly had all the stuff I went to buy there, I was worried that Brexit would have affected supplies. There were far fewer shoppers than I expected, no queues and no security guards at the entrance. Back in lockdown 1 in June, I had waited over half an hour in the boiling sun to enter Lidl.
Then back home and second trip, this time to the city centre. What I remember most is seeing a homeless man sleeping on the grass in the rain. Whatever happened to the government promise to house all the homeless?
Next stop Heron foods, again no queues.
Next stop Morrisons, again no queues.
Back home.
Next stop ASDA, again no queues.
I spent over £50 and discovered that life goes on. Fewer people than normal, but they are out and about.
The best thing about today was the lack of crowds and no queuing.
The worst was seeing the homeless sleeping in the rain.
Good day! Out of bed at 7, whoop, did some Strength and Conditioning with Mr Great Guy, got to work a bit late, productive, managed to take a packed lunch, meetings all aft, did a run training session (hills), home, eaten, and few hoyrs before bed to be happy (and ideally wash some dishes).
Don't feel obliged to buy a house from him, get the house you want, as you'll be living in it!
I freelanced and you accept clients come and go, it's part of the job and you get used to it.
You've proven to yourself you can do it! You've overcome the inertia, got going, getting results, and know if you keep at it the rest will go too!
I've lost 3.5kg so far, 3.5 to go!
Staying at my Support Bubble's home; until Friday.
This morning, I drove to Straw - outside Draperstown - and back. The snow is thawing; and it was optimum conditions to drive on that road.
Genuine interest in my home and land. I'll contact my Estate Agent on Thursday, about any further developments. I also emailed my Old Estate Agent to see if I could make it up to him by buying a house from him; once everything's sorted.
Had to abandon dog walking yesterday because the ground was solid ice. We managed about 30 mitres or so, but the dogs were slipping and falling over. Didn't want to risk one of them getting hurt so decided to turn back. The doggos were not at all amused lol. Today was manageable, so happy pups once again.
I used to love yoga but the instructor moved away
Work today. I had a full day of being on the most boring job and in a dark room. My work colleague said to me "I feel like you're never out of here, it's a waste of your skills her having you in here" so now I'm in two minds about raising it next time I see manager or holding off until I speak to the autism worker. It did make me feel validated that someone else noticed that supervisor has suddenly started treating me as if i'm a lower level so that might help my case?
I had an online tutorial tonight, it was 2 hours of pure torture. One of the other students has only attended 1 other tutorial but was acting like she knew everything. We're supposed to meet weekly for prep work and I'll be shocked if she turns up next week.
Changed up my normal lunch to a salad with more healthy fats as I'm not getting out much, it was nice.
I'm just wanting my bed now. Wish life wasn't so complicated.
Unfortunately the 13th precinct is not available in English. Its an outrageous comedy. It 'made' the careers for some of the actors. The girl on the right in the photo plays a 'dumb blonde', she went on from this series, straight into leading roles in quality dramas and being one of the highest paid actors in Polish TV.
I liked the first four seasons, then it went a bit downhill.
I initially watched it in German because my mother is Polish and spoke very little English, so we had European satellite TV with around 400 channels in about 30 languages, only a handful were in English.
So I first saw it on German TV, then in Italian, finally in English on E4.
The life of the main character, Rory, is very different from mine. She went to an exclusive, very expensive private school. I went to state, 'sink' schools and a couple of special schools for maladjusted children.
