Temple Grandin

For anyone who has Sky, there looks to be an interesting film on Sunday at 9pm.

"Claire Danes gives an Golden Globe-winning performance as the autistic woman who broke down barriers to become a celebrated academic. Inspirational biopic with Julia Ormond."

  • For me it was an ensight! Althou 'Hollywood' in parts, the sensory effects she felt, the way she saw things, was an eye opener for me.

For years I have been trying to work out, wondering what my Sons see and feel, this was as close as I have yet come, to feeling what they do in their little bubbles. The canteen part especially hit home for me, all that noise and confussion she felt, I saw my eldest son in her eyes and it melted me to tears!

Seeing how she was at Four, her challanges to grow, develop and to be excepted into Society , then seeing what she achieved and her life blossom to where she is today, was a huge boost for me.
