if anyone has any additional information on this i would greatly appreciate it.

  • It's common for money acquired through Pupil Premium to be spend on children with SEN and those requiring extra help and support, even though they aren't bringing in any Pupil Premium money themselves.

Pupil Premium is extra money for the school whenever a child from a 'disadvantaged' background (basically a euphemism for poor) attends the school, but the money does not have to be spent on that child. The school is free to spend it on whoever or wherever they wish.

There have been cases of parents of children with SEN who attend schools where very few children bring in Pupil Premium being recommended to move their children to schools with lots of poor children because the school has plenty of money to spend on them.
