Religious thinking

I was reading this article,

http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/2010/05/29/people-with-aspergers-less-likely-to-see-purpose-behind-the-events-in-their-lives/

It surprised me, I had always thought of Aspies as similar to monks,

happy to live in solitude pondering the big questions and thinking deeply.

A lot of the early monks like St Anthony and St Benedict seemed to live a very Aspie lifestyle, very little social contact and high concentration on repetitive simple tasks.

But maybe belief in god is a product of our brains instinct to project our mental states on the outside world, that seems to be reduced in autism ?

  • Easy, to answer your question more in depth,,with Aspergers,, I find life is my religion. My family once (seriously) accused me of being an Alien. They say I speak like Data(Star trek) and act like Jesus. Honestly if it had been a couple of hundred years ago, I would have been tarred and burned at the stake probably.

On the bigger picture note, I see the same small patterns and big patterns in life, so in a way there is nothing to find in the picture, it is just relative perception. The mind and body have a greater vessel and can open up awareness and perception levels to an omni spiral and atomic fire levels,, so all form is still the essence of that which is essence. So, the religious question is too illogically separate storylined for me. Wholistically speaking, says the ladder made from nothing.
