Need help reading forum notifications / Can't see notifications

Another good question...! I am not a massive user of PMs so I did not think about this. I had thought that because My Own Tablet is >5 years old, I was the only one, yet now I am wondering if this is the case with ALL tablets...? (The Operating System does not matter.)

My tablet is about 5 years old but I think it'd be the same on any mobile device. ..

The icons which used to be at the top are at the bottom now and inaccessible. I never used PMs but started recently just before it all changed over. Can't access my profile either! 

I'm not making a new account just so I can view these things. Will have to make do without otherwise. It was confusing at first as I had to click on "join today" instead of "sign in" even though Im not a new member!
