Hi Everyone

Hello everyone,

This is my first post on here,

I'm really not to sure how to start this... Not very good at this type of thing, so please bare with me

I'm Cookies and I'm from the UK.

I have been struggling quite a lot the past year as I imagine most people are in these awful times. This current situation really doesn't help. I'm a very anxious and panicky person generally and alPensivel my routines have gone out the window since March. I have only managed to go outside of my house once since March and that was because my Dad died and I had to go to his funeral Pensive And it probably sounds really bad but if I could have got out of it I would... Not because he didn't mean a lot to me just I don't know really.

Anyway my main reason for posting on here was really to find out if anyone in the community has any ideas/ways that they have been able to get through these hard times? I get that not everything will work for everyone, just looking for insight to other peoples ways Slight smile

Anyway Thankyou for reading to the end! I'm really anxious about posting this and I think ive proof read it enough times.

  • Hi Cookies

This year has upturned living for some of us in rather extreme ways.

Well done for persevering. I hear what you say about the not going out of the house.

Until this month, I had only gone out of the house for walks and had not seen anyone outside of the household I'm in.

What tips? I don't know. What I've done is decided to accept writing off the year. If I do nothing useful in 2020 and nothing feels normal until say summer 2021, then so be it. If I can make some small use of 2020, then I'll consider that a bonus.

So my strategy has been set expectations super low and that way, a bit of 'niceness' in the very smallest of places is perhaps a bit easier to appreciate.

Again, well done for persevering and welcome to the forum here.
