Is anything nice happening in nature near you?
There are fox cubs a few gardens away - they come and visit as the sun goes down - they are getting very bold.......
You guys are so lucky. There's not a lot of wildlife where I am because I'm closer to town. The most I see is people walking their dogs.
And now I've just rescued a baby sparrow. He somehow managed to get into the loft void space - we could hear him all morning - so now he's sitting in a bucket in the kitchen with a drink and something to eat. He's very young - his wing feathers are not fully grown.
Anyone got any ideas for what to do with him?
Update - it turns out he's a young Robin - I was advised to take him in the bucket to the end of the garden - there are some Robins down there so he can squawk to them. I released him later into the bushes there.
Yes - I think so.
All the neighbours are feeding them - which is cute when they are young - but soon becomes a problem when they get big and destructive.
maybe they are messaging each other on a parallel internet, describing their human encounters
One of the fox cubs was just playing in the garden next to me while I'm stood there doing some building work. Lunchtime in broad daylight.
Nice - and a bunch of cygnets too.
I got lucky!
I got to see an amazing thing at the weekend - I was watching a cranefly hovering about over a little river near me..... and then out of nowhere a sparrow came and caught it mid-air! I have never seen sparrows doing anything like that before and it was amazing!
Your fox is beautiful!

Aww that's such an adorable picture
I took these pictures outside my home a few weeks ago. We see a lot of sheep here on the farm.
You're lucky - we're on the edge of countryside - we watch the rabbits playing in the big field too.
I love swans, they are so pretty and graceful.
Aww so cute Plastic. I love nature and wildlife, it's a beautiful thing especially if you're lucky enough to see it first hand.
I live in the country so am lucky enough to see a lot of wildlife, lots of birds of prey, rabbits, geese and cows and sheeps. I haven't seen much nature lately but I'm hoping to again soon.
there are swans on the lake where I go running. normally this time of year they are sitting on some eggs in a nest.
