I know that this may seem like a strange question, however has anyone ever thought of the music that they would play when they have either achieved their dreams, or when they escaped their problems?
I have to admit that I tend to listen to certain songs or melodies to my certain situations in my life.
For me, it would either be "Battle Cry" by Juliette Reilly, or "Come and Follow Me" from Short Circuit.
This song goes straight on when I've been somewhere *** or stressful. In fact it's made me feel good on many occasions.
This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) by Talking Heads.

So many possibilities.
This one is a current obsession because I find it quite comically intense, like the singer himself: Magazines - John Cale. It's your guess, in a song so obviously about male mid-life crisis whether' 'magazines' refers to bullets or coffee table reading. I favour both explanations, as John loves a bit of irony. I love the screaming vocalisations. Amusing as hell! Music like this, often improves my mood and aids my concentration while driving. It's like i have to be psyched up to deal with the dreadful driving here, but this is just NOT in the least bit depressing:

I often listen to specific songs depending on what mood I'm in :) I love Kesha's 'Learn to Let Go' for escaping problems.

If I’m driving/daydreaming then I tend to put in quite a dancey CD that my brain can wander off into. If I’m in a bad mood then I put on s heavy metal CD. What both of these types of music have in common is that they offer a good amigo vestibular stimulation and are therefore calming!
I think you would be well advised to listen to the tracks suggested by DJ Cloudy Mountains
I'm listening to music now and this came on. "Hamilton South" by the Vacations. Always makes me feel good.
Love the first line "A quiet street where nothing happens, I'd take any day over Manhattan". Love that line.

Max Romeo "Chase the Devil" is another one.

"Work" by RjD2 too.

Thought of two more that get me going.
"Stepping Razor" by Peter Tosh.

and "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles. You can't go wrong when you've come out of a rough patch and put that on.

I'll think of more, music is the best way out of the mire!

Forgot that song! So many 80's movies had those borderline cheesy, but so uplifting tunes.
"The Touch" by Stan Bush from the 1986 Transformers the Movie is pretty balls to the wall uplifting rock.

"Only the Young" by Journey from Vision Quest too.

"Push it to the Limit" by Paul Engleman from Scarface too.

The 80's had some memorable *** rock movie tunes to make you feel good! Corny maybe, but motivating!
