I just figured out today that having a fan rattling away in the room is very soothing. Only took me 58 years to discover that. I would imagine it's fairly expensive to have an electric fan on all year round though. I am a big fan of lamb bhuna and I understand that eating hot spicy food is a good way to keep cool in this freakishly warm weather.

  • My continued fan use in this cooler weather has my family puzzled. In a couple of months I will be expected to put the fan back in its box in the garage. This year it won't be going back in its box in the garage. I suppose I should eventually give them some kind of explanation. Not sure why that irritates me but it does.
