Easter Weekend

Just back from two weeks abroad, lovely sights, wildlife and able to really relax.  Now I need to come back to reality of home/work.

Yes you must visit Leicester in your summer holidays and maybe Stamford too.

where have you been? walking in the countryside sounds lovely, I enjoy getting away from the town into the country when I can.

I have had a great weekend albeit not UK weather.  Saturday/Sunday beautiful sunshine walking in the countryside but yesterday it was wet.  Still got to see the countryside and wildlife from in house/car with the afternoon more rainy than morning and just overcast for the evening.

There is nothing wrong with crying at a movie it's cathartic, and I have also now seen Boo Rhapsody and cried.

Get on that Plane! Think about a pair of Chickadee's! lol

That sounds really good too, I think that Leicester has just gone onto my list of places to visit in the summer holidays!

Wow it has the home of Richard the 3rd there! I have to visit Leicester, I’ve read the biography on his life, unearthed it on my bookshelf after they found his remains under a car park back in 2012 but it would be amazing to visit somewhere he has lived. 

You've got the National Space Centre in Leicester too - always worth a trip.

Still not watched Greatest Showman but cries at Bohemian Rhapsody (soppy cry baby me).  At least I can mention about laughing my Chickadee's off with my cousin without getting censored - I'll remember that one, calling someone a chickadee rather that a T.I.T

Leicester is a multi cultural city with both inside and outside shopping and quite a few eating places and some nice parks. There are many Victorian buildings and home of Richard 3rd and historic Guildhall which was featured on TV most haunted. There is also the excellent New Walk Museum and botanic gardens nearby at Oadby. Stamford is a stone town with many churches and limestone buildings and has Burghley house which is famous for it's equestrian pursuits. How was you diagnosed? Which part of the country are you from? 

Welcome to the forum. I was only diagnosed at the end of last year. I hope you can find good support and advice here. I've never been to Leicester, what's it like? Garden's are good in this weather though only with a decent pair of dark glasses and facing away from the sun. I've never been to Stamford either, what sort of historic buildings do they have there?

Hi, I am new to this site and I have recently been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. Anyway as for Easter I have also been out to Leicester on Saturday with a friend who came on Saturday and we met up with another friend and visited the Guildhall and enjoyed sitting outside in the city in the sunshine and we had a meal out. Friday was just a relaxing day sitting out in the garden. On Sunday my friend and I went to Stamford and we had a packed lunch by the river and went around the historic town stopping for a ice cream and later for a shandy. Today was another day out in the garden with a friend.

I did.Do you think we should start a home on the other thread for bearded ladies? maybe we should add her and then she can compare notes on beard care and mouse infestations. PMSL... again

It is a really good song. I'm still chuckling about the rather beautiful bearded lady!
