Autism And Socio/Psychopathy

Greetings, all. I attempt this Thread as new, since there are no other outlets, and it seems pertinent for recently. NOTE: I have done a Thread about Socio/PsychoPathy before (...have fun using "search", anyone...). BUT - I DO suggest that anyone who does not know about it, should spend a good long while in looking up Sociopathy, Psychopathy, and Autism... and then consider all of it VERY carefully... if deciding to vent/be negative at this Thread. This for once, excuse me, also includes You "Moderators"!

I try to say that, because there is as much a Social stereotyping which is totally WRONG, attached to Sociopaths / Psychopaths ... as there is attatched to Autism. Not all Autism causes Clumsy or Genius behaviour, just as not all Socio/PsychoPaths are Stalkers or Killers... just to name four things out of many. Everyone is different.
The thing is... the difference between Autism and Socio/PsychoPathy, is that Autistics deal with social-'faux-pas' with some regret or avoidance... but Socio/PsychoPaths deal with it by ignoring it or with a sort of acceptance.

Autistic Persons have little trouble with stating that they are Autistic, but Socio/PsychoPaths will never admit that they are Socio/PsychoPaths (even after being diagnosed!). This is why I name no names here, but I still like those whom I like, and try to explain, but I must do so in a cryptic/non-direct manner here.
I hope that those concerned read this, and understand - or darn well LOOK IT UP! - and to this day, I really would like to help more, but starting this Thread is about the best I can do. I prefer people to understand what I try to say, and if not, then do not Post or hate in haste. Good Fortune to All... Just do not stretch yourselves more than You can handle across this Forum. Please.

  • Hi DC

I like a lot of what you say, and your motives.

I do not wish to comment at all on the post, but I just wish to say I have added a thread for a 'Modrerator Alert'.  We should be looking for solutions, for this problem, not creating more discontent, although I know that is not your intention.

I might come back to this thread in a week or so when hopefully things have died down a bit.

Keep up the good work though DC.  I support your intention and respect your integrity,  and know your post is not made with any other than the best intentions.

  • Hey, "Brains"... THANK YOU, You are one of the concerned persons. I have written a lot of replies so far, and so that is all of that. I say to Your Good Self that I mainly Posted this Thread in order to state what I wanted to state 'openly', and to try to say that People need not leave and all of that, or take it as bad as it was taken without knowing this. As I said, I was also confused/scared/etc, but then I identified with it, and it is only as "bad" as Autism is when not understood...

...This Thread would be nice if other Persons living with Persons diagnosed with Sociopathy or Psychopathy also posted, though. But as I have done this, I am fine that it can drop away... (until I next have a problem with my own Brother, nothing to do with this Forum...!)     :-/
