Way too many people. Queuing to have our bags searched was the worst part. But it was worth it!

  • I read somewhere that when the "Elgin Marbles" arrived at the British Museum they were brightly coloured. They were sent down to the basement to be sandpapered until they were a more aesthetically pleasing white.

    They were sent to do the scaffolding and take moulds, but Thomas Bruce used a loophole about "removing inscriptions", and well, the end result was what we see today!

    His son James, was basically an enforcer for the British Royal, and French during the Second Opium War with China. Which was from a certain viewpoint not unlike a drug cartel enforcer!

    The Clan Bruce is pretty weird! Full of nefarious characters! Fun to read about nevertheless!
