Good Riddance Day is based on a Latin American Tradition that is celebrated at new year. It invites people to write down any unpleasant, embarrassing or bad memories or bad experiences etc that they've had in the past year and to burn or shred them as a way of letting them go.
It could be an alternative to New Years resolutions if people aren't sure what resolutions to make. It clears the way for new and better experiences to come.
I've already decided that when I get to sorting out all my paperwork, including past journals etc, I'll be having a glorious big bonfire in my back garden to get rid of what I no longer want to hang on to.
Hi DC thank you for being you and allowing me to share the odd journey with you on here, we had some magic moments late in here, proving missing posts, edited posts, we had good times just us two whilst all were asleep. I have great hope you will be more able to visit more often,, good cheer to you and with that I shall now go,, much respect and love to you, x()x
My elongated trunk taps you on the shoulder DC and wishes you heartfelt joy to come x
...Just to say again that I 'LIKED' this Idea. Thank You for Posting that.
(If I can post a lot more in the coming Months, then all here shall know that the Idea indeed *worked* for myself...!?)

This is reminding me of the Fast Show......
So many double entendres. Maybe I'm just bad minded.........
It’s a deal :)
Share and share alike Blueray - you can have the fava beans and the nice Chianti, and needy people who are in need of protein can have the piece de resistance ;-).
That was my first thought but then I realised I don’t even eat animal flesh so I ditched the idea!
Lol ~ that made me laugh out loud
It might spit roast nicely though ;-).
It’s a big thing to burn and I’m nit sure it’s legal! :)
Let's have a double bonfire then - it will keep us warm all night ;)
I’ll have to pm you with mine.... it’s BIG!
I like this idea a lot more than New Year.
