  • Hi Jimbo,

Assuming you are a boy, I'll let you into a little secret - we boys never really grow up!

I'm nearly 40, but I still think like a 14 year old at times.

And all those other lads you know, all appearing to act all grown up - well, it's exactly that - they're appearing to be, and acting all grown up - they're all just as silly and childish as you and I really - they just try to hide it.

And you know what, in a few years time, they'll drop the act and be all stupid and childish again. And, then, again, sometime in their 20s they'll all start acting all grown up again. But again, it will still be an act. And then eventually, they'll accept that they too aren't as all grown up as they like to pretend they are.

Embrace who you are, and realise that there's nothing wrong with being silly and childish, you will 'mature' in time, but you will never lose that childish side of you, let it happen, you have 70 or more years of life ahead of you in which to be 'grown up'.
